"Cam," their mother whispered, a grin across her face. She launched at her son, hugging him tightly. Was she crying?
"Cam, Cam," her mother crooned, and her brother seemed to be crying, too. Kaitlyn looked over the pair of them to see five boys at the door, either looking uncomfortable, smiling, or both.
"Guys," said Kaitlyn, prying her mother and brother apart. "You have guests, and they're a little awkward standing there—"
Unfortunately, Cameron Evan Cole turned to Kaitlyn and grinned. "Kitten!" he yelled, and picked her up by the waist and threw her over his shoulder.
"Cam!" Kaitlyn yelled, pounding his back. "Let—Me—Go!
